  1.                          Templates of Doom tm

  3. Welcome to Templates of Doom, the program that teaches spreadsheets. 
  4. There are two separate demo versions of the program on this disk.  One
  5. is for Lotus and the Lotus functional work-a-likes such as VP-Planner
  6. and Quattro, and one is for PC Excel.  We also have a version for
  7. Macintosh Excel on a different disk.
  8.  
  9. TO START:
  10. Place this disk in your A: Drive or copy it to any appropriate directory
  11. on you hard disk.
  12.   
  13. FOR LOTUS AND FUNCTIONAL WORK-A-LIKES:
  14. Start your spreadsheet program and make sure the spreadsheet program
  15. default drive and directory are set to the location of Templates of
  16. Doom.  The commands in Lotus to do this are / Worksheet, Global,
  17. Default, Directory, :Type in the name of the drive and directory that
  18. Templates of Doom is on and press return.  For example, if Templates of
  19. Doom is in the A: drive, type A: and press Return.  Retrieve the file
  20. DOOMDEMO.WKS (/ F R DOOMDEMO Return).  The program will take over from
  21. there.

  23. FOR PC EXCEL:
  24. Unless you have extended memory, we suggest that you temporarily remove
  25. any memory resident programs because PC Excel uses a lot of memory.
  26. Start PC Excel and close the blank spreadsheet that appears.  Pull down
  27. the File menu, select Open and navigate to the  disk drive and directory
  28. that Templates of Doom is on. When DOOMDEMO.XLM appears in the scrolling
  29. window, select it and the program will take over from there.
